The top three players qualify for the ‘East of Scotland Championship’

In the Minor Event, there will be a second Grading Prize (under 1000) , and the highest placed junior, under 14 (on the day of the tournament) and within the grading limit of 1000, will receive £20.

Titled (GM, IM & FM) - Free
Adults - £22
Juniors (under 18) - £17

Entries should be received by Wednesday, 28th September 2011. Entries after this date will incur a late entry fee of £2.

Chess Scotland members may deduct £2.
Senior citizens and unemployed may deduct £1.
Only one concession.

Tournament Details

Rates of play: 30 moves in 60 minutes followed by
Quickplay Finish of 15 minutes.

• Saturday, Round 1 - 10.00 to 12.30
• Saturday, Round 2 - 13.30 to 16.00
• Saturday, Round 3 - 16.30 to 19.00
• Sunday, Round 4 - 10.00 to 12.30
• Sunday, Round 5 - 13.30 to 16.00

Prize Giving will be as soon as possible after the completion of round 5.

Conditions

The organisers reserve the right to:

• Increase or decrease prize money.

• Transfer entrants between events.

• Split or merge events depending on numbers.

• Withhold prizes from ungraded players if they
  play in events below their known strength.

• Take any other measures deemed necessary to
  ensure the smooth running of the congress.

Refreshments and lunches are available.

No smoking allowed in the Centre.
