I get sent loads of things.

What is this?

HH peas.

I look at everything, especially the games.

Here are three games that have been recently
sent to me. All three from different Countries.

The first is from that beautiful city Valencia,
played between two Spanish girls who wanted to
test the pseudo 'Edinburgh Variation'.

White forgot the opening idea of 3 a3 in the Vienna.
Play it though you were Black. The move 5.b4 chased the
Bishop to where it wanted to be, away from a d4 by White.
Black took advantage of 5.b4 in an instructive fashion
to open up files on the Queen-side.

1.e4 e5 2.Nc3 Nf6 3.a3 Bc5 4.Nf3 d6 5.b4 Bb6 6.Bc4 0-0 7.d3 c6 8.Bg5 h6 9.Bh4 g5 10.Bg3 g4 11.Nh4 Bd4 12.Qd2 Nh5 13.Ng6 Re8 14.Bh4 Bxc3 15.Qxc3 Qc7 16.Bg3 a5 17.bxa5 Qxa5 18.Qxa5 Rxa5 19.Bb3 Nd7 20.Bh4 Nc5 21.Ne7+ Kf8 22.Nxc8 Rxc8 23.h3 gxh3 24.Rxh3 Nf4 25.Rg3 Rca8 26.a4 b5 27.Bf6 bxa4 28.Bc4 Nh5 29.Rf3 d5 30.exd5 Nd7 31.Bh4 cxd5 32.Ba2 Nf4 33.Rg3 Rb5 34.Kd2 Rc8 35.Rb1 Rxb1 36.Bxb1 Rb8 37.Ba2 Rb2

This next game was the final of the Masterton (New Zealand)
Summer Cup. The winner is a Bells local, Keir Harding who is
back packing around the planet with his girlfriend.

Black's 13...Ng6? is a common type of blunder. Even experienced
players forget how tender g6 is when a Bishop is on a2, b3 or c4.
Eddie Perry fell for the same sort of thing two years ago.

Harding v Van Gerven

1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nf6 3.Bc4 Bc5 4.d3 h6 5.Be3 Bxe3 6.fxe3 0-0 7.0-0 d6 8.Nc3 Bg4 9.Qe1 Nc6 10.Qg3 Ne7 11.Nxe5 dxe5 12.Rxf6 gxf6 13.Qxg4+ Ng6 14.Qxg6+

The following game came from Den Helga in Holland.
No other information but it is quite an interesting game.
Black sacs the exchange for quite bit of counter play
and a couple of pawns. White put up his Queen as bait,
Black nibbled and fell for it.

The whole idea starting with 26 d5 is excellent. A cunning trap.
Black only saw the winning of the Queen and missed 31 Bd7+.

Nobby also sent me HH peas.

Have you got it yet? Say it fast over and over again.

HH peas HH peas HH peas

It sounds like 'a chess piece'.
