Keti Simlutaneous Display at the Edinburgh Museum

Ketevan Arakhamia-Grant Simultaneous Display.
Saturday 13th June at the National Museum of Scotland.

Keti started at 11am and finished at 5pm.
The final score was P.51 W.42 D.9 L.0

An idea of the strength of players who turned up.

That's David Stewart who drew, Hugh Brechin (lost)
and far right is Andrew Green who also lost.

And sitting closest to us is Scottish Chess Editor

David Oswald. (he lost as well).

Here is Keti thinking about her move v Ian Mclean.

And here is the game. Ian drew.

The whole event went very smoothly and was organised by Keti's husband Jonathan.

It's good to have a talented wife.
my wife has been giving a simultaneous talking display
for the past 30 years and shows no sign of stopping.

And they had this as a side line.

Colour in the Lewis pieces. I had a shot.

Producing this.

But this is what it's all about.
A 1200 player has a game v a GM in his score book.

I'll save you the effort of working out the maths.
The grading difference is 1318 points. AND THE LAD DREW!!.

Quite a feat for a 1245 player who played way above his grade.
A day that wee lad will remember for the rest of his life.

And here is a picture to record his moment. He is the wee lad
staring at Keti with the hero worship in his eyes.

Great day - more please.
