Chandler Cornered

The Association of Certified Public Accountants

The Association of Certified Public Accountants
Primary Scottish Championship

As I said on the previous Corner this tournament ran alongside
the main Congress (though I think kids event was really the main event).

The prize winners and a full account of this tournament will
appear on the

Prizes were presented by Kevin Henry from the
Association of Certified Public Accountants.

That is Keven in the right, Jeremy Hughes on the left.

Here are few pictures from the event.

Though some of the games are recorded the scores very rarely
make sense. This happens even in the Open Championship.

I was shown this in the canteen.
Black made a terrible 3rd. move.
White gave him 2 chances to correct it then played 6.Bb5

I leave this very short Corner with a game from the Edinburgh
Challengers. Eddie Perry falls into a trap that is older than God's dog.

Incredible.
To be fair it was played in the dreaded Sunday morning round.
Chess history is littered disasters played in the 4th. round.

This was played in Paris in 1790. (perhaps on a Sunday morning)
